Last Whispers, is an experiential, immersive work dedicated to the extinction of languages created by artist Lena Herzog. The AV experience premiered at The British Museum in 2016, after which funding was granted to produce the work in the most current experiential formats making exhibition accessible and flexible to any environment or venue.
Created in the Unreal Engine with immersive and spatialized sound projection (available in binaural / 54.1 / 8.1 octophonic / 7.1 / 5.1 mixes), is interpreted by the human ear as a distinct 360° soundscape. This enveloping visual and sound environment prompts the brain to perceive the voices in the piece as “present” and “real.” Whether experienced as a video, as a virtual reality, or as an immersive projection mapping render or dome or sphere, the audiences find themselves inside the artwork for 30 minutes.
I have worked on her team as a visual designer and writer since its beginnings. It has screened internationally at cultural institutions, including a presentation during a session of UNESCO General Conference.
